Grant Polk is planning a trip to Charlottesville. The Punta Gorda (Fla.) Charlotte offensive tackle received an offer from Virginia this week, and is planning to visit the Wahoos during a camp this summer.
"I plan to go to one of the June ones. I'm not sure yet which one."
Virginia is the latest school to offer the 2015 standout, and Polk says he is still learning about the Cavaliers.
"I studied up a little bit recently. I hadn't had too much contact with them until (assistant) coach (Tom) O'Brien came to the school."
Since his offer, Polk has been able to connect with O'Brien a little more, "just told me they liked me, and that I looked good. They were just asking if I was coming to the camp or not."
Virginia did not have an explosive season on offense last season, but Polk is not scared away, instead he sees potential."
Their coaching staff is real solid, I don't think they are going anywhere anytime soon. Anyone can bounce back after one season, you never know."
Polk also holds offers from Mississippi State, Cincinnati, East Carolina, Florida Atlantic, Florida International, Georgia Southern, Southern Alabama and South Florida. This summer he plans to visit some schools so he cane make the right decision.
"(Visiting) Mississippi State, more than likely probably going to a Florida camp and Georgia camp also."
"I'm just trying to stay as unbiased as I can right now. Trying to get new offers and have more options."
Polk is looking to decide during the summer, so he will have specific questions he will need answered when he visits schools.
"It's not really football questions-it's routine questions, schedule questions, academic questions. Football is football. They will run something differently, you will learn it."
Polk hopes to visit law or business in college.
