  • Virgil explained why Mississippi State moved up among his top three after taking an unofficial visit to MSU last Friday.

"I visited Mississippi State last Friday," said Virgil. "It was great. I loved everything about the visit. I loved all the facilities and all of the coaches. I really like Coach Brian Johnson. And I like that (MSU Head) Coach (Dan) Mullen is a great quarterback coach."

Not only the coaches impressed him but the facilities also make a great impression on the talented QB.

"I really like the facilities and everything that is going on there right now," said Virgil. "The stadium is nice, the practice facility is nice, the field is nice. Everything is first-class down there. It is really a nice place to go to school."

Virgil plans on making his decision very, very soon.

"I am probably going to make a decision in the next week or so," said Scout.com's 27th ranked QB in the class of 2015. "My final three are Florida, Colorado and Mississippi State. I have only visited Mississippi State but I think I may be ready to make a decision next week. I just need to talk to my parents about everything. We are discussing everything now about making a decision."

He discussed where Mississippi State fits among those three schools.

"I haven't made my decision yet but I'm thinking really hard about Mississippi State," said Virgil.

When he does make his final choice, two things are high on his priority.

"I want to have the chance to go play at a major college program and a place where they know how to develop players," said Virgil. "And I know Mississippi State is one of those schools that really emphasizes player development. They really, really preach development down there, and that is something that is exciting to me."
