Alabama picked up arguably its biggest in-state commitment of the class of 2014 on Wednesday when five-star legacy Marlon Humphrey announced his commitment to the Crimson Tide

Nick Saban made personal history on Wednesday. While out recruiting in South Florida, he picked up one of his biggest in-state commitments during his Alabama tenure as Marlon Humphrey announced his pledge to the program.

It is the first time Saban has landed multiple five-star cornerbacks in the same class (Tony Brown).

The Hoover (Ala.) prospect, and son of former Alabama and NFL running back Bobby Humphrey, was down to Florida State, UCLA and Mississippi State in addition to the Crimson Tide. At 6-foot, 175 pounds, he is ranked as the No. 4 cornerback prospect in the class of 2014 and the No. 30 overall prospect int he country.

"I'm just looking for a place where I'll have fun playing and enjoy my four years of football," Humphrey said earlier this month. "I just want to find a place I can enjoy life, play football, get a good education and be around people that will make me a better guy, not just a better football player."

The No. 3 prospect in the state also plans to run track at Alabama, something Saban has already assured him he can do while on scholarship.

Alabama's top-ranked recruiting class on now consists of six five-stars. Check out the commitment list HERE. Recommended Stories
