Vanderbilt routed Presbyterian 58-0 on Saturday at Vanderbilt Stadium. After each game VandyMania.com names an offensive and defensive player of the week. We also name an unsung hero of the week. Look inside to see who gets the honors this week.

OFFENSE

Vanderbilt Offensive line

Wesley Johnson, Ryan Seymour, Joe Townsend, Josh Jelesky, Andrew Bridges and their backups all provided excellent blocking throughout the game. Vanderbilt gained over 400 yards rushing and had no sacks thanks to the offensive line.
DEFENSE

Eric Samuels, safety

Samuels, a senior from Eustis, Fla., started in place of injured Kenny Ladler and performed admirably. Samuels had 5 tackles including a 11-yard sack of a Blue Hose quarterback. Samuels now has 66 career tackles as a Commodore.
UNSUNG HERO

Wesley Tate, running back

Tate, a redshirt junior from Nashville, Tenn., scored two touchdowns during the game; each in redzone situations. Tate now has 225 career rushing yards for 3 touchdowns.
