Josh Boyd To Return For Senior Season

STARKVILLE, Miss. - Mississippi State junior defensive tackle Josh Boyd, after receiving feedback from the National Football League's Draft Advisory Board, announced today he will return for his senior season in 2012.

"After talking to Coach Mullen and my family, seeing what the NFL had to say, I believe this is the best choice for me at this time," Boyd said. "I'm excited to continue my growth and development with Coach (Matt) Balis and Coach (Chris) Wilson, and I know there are big things in store for the Bulldogs in 2012."

Boyd, a native of Philadelphia, Miss., posted 51 tackles with eight tackles for loss and 4.5 sacks in 2011. He has 92 total tackles with 15.5 for loss and seven sacks during his 38-game career at Mississippi State.

Earlier this week, junior defensive lineman Fletcher Cox declared for the NFL draft and junior defensive back Johnthan Banks announced his intentions to return for his senior season. Recommended Stories
