Earned 3rd-team All-SEC honors by the AP. Averaged 14.6 points per game, and 3.1 assists per game. Rated second in the SEC in three-pointers made per game (2.3/game).
2001-02:
Served primarily as MSU’s sixth-man a year ago, completing his sophomore season as the team’s third-leading scorer (10.6 ppg)... Also averaged 2.8 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.4 steals per game, while seeing an average of 25.1 minutes of action (with six starts) on the year... Ranked ninth in the SEC in three-point field goal percentage (36.8%), hitting a team-most 50 treys for the season... Ranked as the team’s No. 2 scorer (12.0 ppg) behind all-SEC standout Mario Austin, along with being credited with a team-most 12 steals, during postseason tournament play (SEC & NCAA) in 2001-02... Handed out a season-most five assists against Tennessee.
2000-01:
Averaged 2.5 points per game in limited action as a true freshman for the Bulldogs... Saw an average of 7.6 minutes played per contest in 23 backcourt appearances as a collegiate rookie... Shot 38 percent overall from the field for the season.
HIGH SCHOOL:
Named Mississippi’s 1999-2000 high school player of the year by USA Today and The Clarion-Ledger after averaging 22.4 points, 10.1 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 3.6 steals per game as a senior at Harrison Central High School in Gulfport, Miss... Shot 54 percent overall from the field, 41 percent from beyond the three-point arc and 77 percent from the free-throw line during his senior season... Helped lead coach Ricky Stone’s 1999-2000 HCHS Red Rebels to a 32-3 record, No. 1 state ranking and the Class 5A state championship... Scored 14 points in the 2000 Mississippi-Alabama High School All-Star Game... Led the Red Rebels in scoring during each of his last three seasons, serving as a team co-captain during his senior campaign... Averaged 18.5 points, 7.8 rebounds, 4.6 assists and 3.0 steals per contest as a junior in leading Harrison Central to a 24-11 record and Division 8 runner-up finish... Earned honorable mention all-state honors from The Clarion-Ledger as a junior.
