| What Seward County College head coach Galen McSpadden says about Corey:
"Corey is first an outstanding young man, a very good student, and has a very good upside with his abilities and potential as a pitcher. He pitches much like he conducts his personal life - he quietly goes about his business with command and competiveness. He is able to spot up very well and has the ability to miss the barrel more often than not with his unusual sinking fastball, breaking pitch, and change. When he got to Seward County he was 6’5” and maybe weighed 175 and sat on about 82-83 mph. This year he is 6’6” and 210 and sits on 86-87. In another year and with his work ethic and build, I predict him to make another jump and pitch at 88-90+. Corey Collins is a good investment."
