| Biography: |
2008 Matthew Wells was named 2nd team All-State by the Clarion Ledger. He finished his junior season with 1,357 yards rushing on 113 carries and 21 touchdowns. He caught 10 passes for 323 yards and seven more touchdowns. Defensively, the junior had four interceptions and 35 solo tackles. Wells says he can bench 260-pounds, squat 370 and claims a 34-inch vertical jump.
Partial senior (7-4, only played in 7 games) stats: 14 touchdowns scored on around 800 yards gained
Wells reports a 2.8 core GPA and a 16 ACT, which he plans on retaking in October.
Wells: “I just can’t be stopped. Once I have the ball in my hands I want to take it to the end zone. Once I make my cut, I can usually get past everybody and see the whole field quickly.
“I should probably be more patient when finding the hole. I’d probably be able to get even more yards by finding the best opening.”
