Selected to play in the Mississippi-Alabama High School All-Star Game as a linebacker...Considered the No. 38 outside linebacker prospect in the nation by ESPN.com in its post-season listing...Rated the No. 46 inside linebacker prospect in the country by recruiting web site Scout.com...Named to the Super All-Metro Birmingham first-team at linebacker following his senior season by the Birmingham News...Selected first-team Class 5A all-state at linebacker by the Alabama Sports Writers Association...Rated No. 28 on SuperPrep's post-season All-America listing of the state of Alabama's top players, the state's top inside linebacker prospect...Ran a 4.46-yard dash, jumped 36 inches in the vertical leap, and bench pressed 370 pounds at his high school camp prior to his senior season at Briarwood Christian (AL) HS...Made 133 tackles, including four tackles for loss, during his senior campaign...Also had two pass deflections...Played outside linebacker as a junior...Started his high school playing career at Shelby County (AL) and Sylacauga (AL) High Schools.
