Played in eight games during his true freshman season...Despite reduced activity due to injury, he still finished third on the team in rushing, gaining 137 yards on 42 carries, a 3.3-yard per rush average, and one touchdown...Was also fourth on the club in receiving, hauling in 14 passes for 97 yards, a 6.9-yard average per catch...Suffered a knee ligament sprain against Kentucky which sidelined him for most of that contest and for the remainder of his first season on campus.

Rushed for 2,018 yards and 21 touchdowns during his senior season at Daphne (AL) HS...Culminated his career by being named a finalist for the Class 6A Back of the Year and the state's Mr. Football Award...Named to the Alabama Sports Writer's Association Super 12 team for all classifications, one of just two running backs on the team...That organization also listed him first-team, Class 6A (largest classification) all-state at running back...Was also named the Mobile Register's co-Offensive Player of the Year...Credited with running a 4.75 in the 40-yard dash and with an impressive 4.38-second timing in the shuttle run at the Auburn Scout.com combine.
