| Biography: |
| Ricky Johnson is very good after the catch and would fit in well with a spread offense that can get him the ball in multiple ways. He finished his junior season with 1,050 yards rushing, 300 yards receiving and 200 yards passing. He scored a total of 18 touchdowns. Johnson says he can bench press 265-pounds, squat 390 and has a 35-inch vertical jump.
Johnson says he'd like to major in either engineering or go pre-law and reports a 3.4 core GPA and a 17 ACT, which he is retaking.
Johnson: "I'm fast and quick. Once I get in the open field it's hard for people to catch me.
"I like playing wide receiver the most. I love having the ball and I really like getting reverses and going deep. Receiver is the most fun."
Johnson plays point guard and averages 18 points, six rebounds and six assists per game. His only offer for the hardwood is from Tulane. "If I only play one sport it'll be football," he admitted. "I think I'm better at football and there's more opportunities in football."
