Two-year standout pitcher at Hoover HS...Posted a 5-3 record with a 2.81 ERA as a senior...Notched 34 strikeouts in 57-1/3 innings pitched and finished the year with six complete-game pitching performances...Tabbed for Birmingham All-Metro honors...Compiled an 8-3 record with a 2.80 ERA as a junior in 2005...Earned honorable mention all-state honors after registering 77 strikeouts in 70 innings...Also named to the "Over the Mountain" area high school all-star team...Member of Mu Alpha Theta and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes at HHS...Competed in baseball and cross country as a sophomore at South Forsyth HS in Cumming, GA, prior to moving to Hoover during the 2004-05 school year.
