Started all 12 games of his sophomore season at offensive left tackle.

2002
Played in seven games during his true freshman season, earning a pair of starts at midseason at the offensive left tackle position...Suffered a dislocated ankle and a fractured fibula during practice prior to the Bulldogs' game vs. Kentucky and was sidelined for the remainder of the season.

Picked to the PrepStar magazine/CBS Sportsline.com Dream Team, the number 15 offensive lineman in the country, No. 4 in the southeast...Ranked among the top 32 offensive tackles in the country by recruiting analyst Max Emfinger in his season-ending national bluechips list...Earned an honorable mention berth on the postseason Orlando Sentinel all-Southern team, an all-star unit selected from 12 southern states...Ranked No. 3 on Superprep's list of the top players in Mississippi following his senior season, behind only Norwood and Williams...He was named No. 22 on Superprep's ranking of the nation's best offensive linemen...Earned first-team all-state at offensive tackle on the Mississippi Association of Coaches all-state team...Considered the state of Mississippi's top offensive lineman by the Jackson Clarion-Ledger...He was named to that publication's Dandy Dozen, a designation as one of the state's top 12 players prior to his senior year...Ranked No. 7 on the Clarion-Ledger's list of the state's most sought-after prospects following his senior season...Selected to play in the Mississippi/Alabama High School All-Star game.
