| All-MPSA selection his sophomore year and expected to be the same for his junior season once the selections are announced...All-Conference his 9th, 10th and 11th grade years...Throws a 85-88 miles per hour fastball (tops out at 92-93), along with a curveball, changeup and slider...Batted .490 with 5 home runs his junior season...Heavily recruited and offered scholarships by Mississippi State and Ole Miss...Also a quarterback who played on state championship football teams his 9th and 10th grade seasons...Received spring evaluation calls from Mississippi State and Vanderbilt in football.
