James Carmon, a mid-year junior college transfer from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, was one of the more highly recruited defensive linemen in the southeast. He also was one of the biggest. Probably too big because, while that weight helped him plug up the middle of the line for MGCCC, it also had an adverse affect on his overall speed and quickness.
