WORTH WAITING FOR: The last time Dudy Noble Field hosted post-season play was 2003. There are three current Diamond Dogs who were on that team as true freshmen, and two—1B/DH Brian LaNinfa and LF Joseph McCaskill—are on this week’s tournament roster. RHP Mike Valentine also redshirted in ’03 and is a reserve player practicing this week but not on the 25-man roster dressing for the super regional.
