The arms dominated action. But what really decided Thursday’s fight for survival between Mississippi State and Vanderbilt was footwork. A lapse in basic baserunning coverage provided the Commodores what became their margin of 3-2 victory, and a close tag at home plate kept the Diamond Dogs from tying things up and possibly extending their stay at the 2007 SEC Tournament.
