Caledonia High School offensive lineman Derek Sherrod committed to Mississippi State head coach Sylvester Croom Saturday afternoon. Sherrod, who is one of the top offensive linemen in the nation, chose the Bulldogs over offers from Notre Dame, Florida, Miami (FL), Michigan, Louisville, Ole Miss, Southern Miss and Houston.
