Looking for the Next Dak

Looking for the Next Dak

When it comes to cultivating quarterbacks, Mississippi State's Dan Mullen has one of the best track records in all of college football. With multiple first round picks, a Heisman trophy winner and a pair of national championships, it is hard to argue against the "Mullen system". Mullen's current signal caller, Dak Prescott, is considered the front runner for the Heisman.

Prescott: “Stay True To Ourselves”

It looked like a longer break on paper. The reality was different according to Dak Prescott. And in a good way for anyone concerned a bye-week might take some of Mississippi State’s edge. “We’ve only had two or three days off. So we’ve got a little momentum from last week even not playing a game.”

"We've Got To Be A Much Better Team"

"We've Got To Be A Much Better Team"

“A good bye-week for us last week. We were able to get some guys rested, able to work on some things that need work. Obviously there’s a lot of things we can improve on as a team and really some fundamental stuff that gets lost every once in a while. Really that training camp mentality, when you’re working fundamentals and a lot of techniques.”

Brown, Bulldogs Adjusting to Spotlight

Brown, Bulldogs Adjusting to Spotlight

For the second straight week, Mississippi State is the consensus #1 team in major college football. With the designation as the top dogs, these Bulldogs expect to get everyone's best shot the rest of the way. The transformation from hunter to hunted is a new role for Dan Mullen's squad, but to hear defensive end Ryan Brown tell it, the Bulldogs are becoming comfortable with their new found fame.
