Leake Academy - Justin Sturdivant (6-0, 195) earned all All-District as a running back after leading his team in rushing. He also recorded 7 quarterback sacks on the defensive side of the ball. He earned All-District honors as a catcher after hitting .341 with one home run.

New Hope HS - Keep an eye on these football prospects: Senior-to-be Ben Fleming, a 6-5, 205-pound DE/TE. According to my source, Ben recorded 3 or 4 sacks during New Hope's spring jamboree against Pontotoc and Hernando. Another senior-to-be that has a chance to play on the D-I level is Mike Patterson. Mike, who played cornerback last year, has been moved to safety and has shined at that position. He is 6-1.5 and weighs 185 pounds. New Hope also has a freshman-to-be that could turn out to be a prospect. His name is Quen Shirley. Quen, who is 6-1, 170, plays FS/CB.
Hernando HS - Look out, there's another Wadley at Hernando. Johnny Wadley, who plays offensive line at MSU, has a younger brother who has a chance to be a good one. Andre Wadley, who will be a sophomore next year, is a 6-3, 240-pound linebacker/offensive guard. He played havoc on New Hope during the spring jamboree at Pontotoc. According to my source, the one thing Andre needs to work on is his stamina.
