The MSU commitment scoreboard update is a free weekly feature that allows you the reader the chance to keep up with the future MSU Bulldogs while they finish their final seasons before arriving in Starkville.

C.J. Johnson had the last laugh in the rivalry with Neshoba Central. After a week of pranks and hijinks, it was C.J. and Philadelphia doing the celebrating over in Neshoba Central.

Johnson was involved in 20 plus tackles and had a 25 yard interception return for a touchdown as Philly (3-0) rolled 42-14.

Darion Arrington and Stone (1-2) got their first win this week after two close losses in the previous two weeks.

Arrington's win comes at the expense of Nick Redmond and Harrison Central (0-2).

Dee ran for a pair of short touchdowns (6,7 yards) in the win.

Dak Prescott ran for 92 yards and a score on 20 carries while he threw for 208 more and a pair of touchdowns as Haughton (1-0) got by Airline 24-7.

Devin Fosselman had another big night as he and James Maiden got their first win of the young season tonight with a 49-7 cakewalk over Raymond. Wilkinson County is now 1-1 and will travel to Prentiss next week.

Rufus Warren and Gentry (1-2) recorded their first win of the season with an 8-0 shutout of Ruleville Central.

Jermaine Whitehead ran for an 81 yard touchdown as Amanda Elzey knocked off John F Kennedy to even their record at 1-1.

Devonte Scott and Ferriday (0-1) were held out of the end zone by a rapidly improving Natchez team 14-0.

Daniel Knox will return to practice this week and his services are certainly needed in the Knights' lineup. West Lauderdale fell to 0-3 after a 38-0 blowout loss to Gulfport.

Joe Morrow was held scoreless tonight as Moss Point doubled up Ocean Springs (2-1) 28-14.

Josh Robinson will lead his Franklinton team across the state line tomorrow night to take on Abilene, Texas at 7 PM.

Earlier this week Darius Slay saw very little action on his side of the field against Hinds. The Eagles won big 56-31, but Slay, a pre-season All-American, held down his side of the field.

Justin Cox and West Point got a much deserved week off this week.
