The gym will be loaded with Mississippi's top basketball players from the class of 2011 and 2012 this weekend as they compete with their AAU basketball teams for the 17-under AAU State Championship.
"This will be a very exciting weekend for Jackson and the state of Mississippi," said LeMond Roy, State Director for AAU boy's basketball. "You don’t often get a chance to see Mississippi's top players all together in the same gym the same weekend."
By having the most talented players from around the state in a premier tournament setting this basketball event will allow for the celebration of diverse competition and excitement that AAU basketball has to offer. The athletes will experience top-notch competition, which will challenge them to be their best.
All games will be played at Northwest Rankin High School in Brandon, MS.
The tournament kicks off Friday night at 6:00 pm through Sunday with the Championship Game set for Sunday @ 4:15 pm.
The tournament marquee game will be the Jackson Tigers against the MBA Hoops Elite Saturday at 12 noon.
