Late Lion Outburst Hands State First Loss 4-1

Eventually some opponent was bound to turn that last-inning gameplan against Mississippi State. It just happened to be Southeastern Louisiana that did the trick, scoring three times in the top of the ninth inning to hand the Bulldogs their first loss of 2010 with a 4-1 Friday final at Dudy Noble Field.

Southeastern Louisiana took advantage of shaky Bulldog relief pitching with run-scoring hits from the bottom of their order to take game-one of the weekend series. In the process the Lions (5-0) not only remained unbeaten but scored their first victory ever in ten meetings with Mississippi State.
