In a game of region leaders Rajion Neal had one of his best games of the season as Sandy Creek got by Starr's Mill 31-13. Neal rushed for 242 yards and two touchdowns on 29 carries in the winning effort.
Sandy Creek is firmly in the driver's seat heading down the home stretch into the playoffs with a 7-1 record.
Jameon Lewis rushed for two scores (16,3) as #1 Tylertown knocked off region rival Franklin County 16-7 in a rematch of the 2008 3A south state championship.
Michael Carr scored three touchdowns last night as West Point and Curtis Virges (8-1) knocked off Saltillo 28-12. Carr reeled in touchdown passes of 32 and 23 yards and scored on a one yard plunge.
Jamerson Love was held out of the endzone, but Aberdeen blasted South Pontotoc 48-21. The Bulldogs advance their record to 8-2 on the year and appear to be peaking at the right time.
Cordell Giles saw his Benoit Brooks team win a defensive struggle over McAdams 8-7. Brooks is 5-3 on the season.
Brandon Hill and West Lowndes fell hard to Eupora 52-6. WLHS is now 5-3 on the season.
Kaleb Eulls scored on a three yard run to post Yazoo County's only score on the night. Yazoo County (4-6) would up on the downside of a 33-8 loss to Cleveland.
Blaine Clausell and Baker (1-8) fell 24-21 to Mary Montgomery in a battle of 1-7 teams. Baker will wrap up the season this Thursday at Fairhope.
Malcolm Johnson and Northridge saw their record drop to .500 (5-5) at the hands of Hillcrest 37-0.
Vick Ballard and Kelvin Bolden will play at JCJC today for the south division crown today before the playoff begin.

Nick Redmond and Harrison Central (7-1) took another step towards a strong seed in the playoffs with a 35-21 win over Biloxi.
C.J. Johnson scored from a yard out as Philadelphia (9-1) blasted Kemper County 49-20.
