STARKVILLE, Miss. - The Mississippi State Athletic Department announced Monday that 2009 Bulldog Football Season tickets are now on sale online and by phone at the Athletic Department Ticket Office.

Full-price season tickets are $240, an increase of only $40 over last season’s six-game home schedule. The Bulldogs will host seven home games in 2009, with non-conference matchups against Jackson State, Georgia Tech and Houston along with Southeastern Conference games against LSU, Alabama, Florida and Ole Miss.

"This could very well be the best home schedule we have ever had," said Mississippi State Athletic Director Greg Byrne. "“We anticipate very high demand for season tickets."

Mississippi State also announced the addition of a new ticket plan, the Top Dog Plan, which will replace the Family Plan and the Maroon Plan that has been sold in previous years. This plan will be priced at $115 and will be located in the 700 level of Davis Wade Stadium. Maroon Plan ticket holders from a year ago will have the opportunity to retain their previous seats under the Top Dog Plan, and new ticket holders will be assigned based on Bulldog Club priority and date received.

Several priority sections in Bulldog Club areas will also have new contribution values assigned to them for the 2009 season. The values have increased in the Club Level as well as the 100 and 200 levels and Section D on the west side. All other priority seat obligations remain the same. The pledge deadline for 2009 football season priority is April 1, 2009. New season ticket buyers who wish to sit in priority sections will be assigned seats based on Bulldog Club priority rank and may make a seating request when tickets are ordered.

In addition to the new donation values, the visitors will be relocated for 2009 and the students will receive an additional section in the 700 level on the East Side.

"We received great support from our student body in 2008, selling over 11,000 student season tickets, and we want to be sure they have plenty of room for the 2009 season," Byrne said. "The students are a big part of our gameday atmosphere and we rely on them to make Davis Wade Stadium a special place to play."

Tickets can be purchased by visiting the Athletic Ticket Office page on mstateathletics.com or by phone at 888-GO-DAWGS.
