Deontae Skinner and Noxubee County gave up a season high in points this evening against Shannon, but the Tigers rolled up the Raiders 42-24 for their second consecutive 4A North State championship.
Noxubee County will take on D'iberville next weekend in the 4A state title game in Jackson.
The only other instate MSU commitments, Tyler Russell and Chris Smith, punched their tickets for the big house with a 28-0 blowout of rival Oak Grove.
Weather was a factor for both teams especially in the passing game, but the Wildcats made enough plays to put the Warriors away.
Russell was 15 of 27 for 168 yards and pair of touchdowns.
Chris Smith hauled in five passes for fifty eight yards and a touchdown to put the home standing Wildcats up 21-0.
On the season Tyler has thrown for 3,094 yards, 39 touchdowns and just five interceptions.
Chris Smith has 65 catches for 1,012 yards and 10 touchdowns.
Skinner, Russell and Smith will be the only prepsters still in the hunt for a state title next week.
Montrell Conner and Ouachita fell to West Monroe 37-16. The Lions lost three games all season, two of those losses came at the hands of West Monroe.
Meridian will take on South Panola next Friday night in perhaps the most anticipated match-up of the season.
Chris White and Gulf Coast will host Georgia Military next weekend in the first ever Mississippi Bowl in Biloxi.
All other MSU commitments have concluded their seasons.
