The MSU commitment scoreboard update is a free feature that allows fans the chance to keep up with how the Bulldogs-to-be did in their latest action on the gridiron.

Tyler Russell led Meridian (6-1) to an impressive 42-28 win over rival Oak Grove. The Wildcat offense got on track and were never forced to punt the entire night. Tyler connected on 18 of 23 attempts for 281 yards and a pair of scores. Russell also scored on a QB sneak.

Chris Smith hauled in four of Russell's completed passes. Three of Smith's catches moved the chains, two of which came across the middle to convert third downs.

Josh Hollingsworth had a box score very similar to Tyler's in his last outing. Josh was 14 of 23 for 283 yards and three touchdowns as Hamilton rolls on to 7-0. Hollingsworth gave way to back-up Mitch Stults late in the second half who capped the night's scoring at 44-6 over Danville.

Fletcher Cox and Yazoo City continue to be very stingy on defense. The Indians rolled over Lanier 36-0 to advance their record to 4-2.

William Shumpert found the endzone for a score as Itawamba AHS remains undefeated at 7-0. The Indians knocked off Heidelberg 36-12.

Josh Boyd and Philadelphia ran their record to 5-2 after a 19-12 win over Scott Central.

Montez Phillips may have had his best game of the year this past Friday. Montez threw for two scores and ran for another as the Commodores beat Clarksdale 35-14.

Gabriel Jackson and Amite County (2-4) notched their second win on the 2008 season at the expense of Wilkinson County 32-6.

Noxubee County continues to simply dominate their opponents. The Tigers ran through defending 3A state champ Louisville 36-0. Deontae Skinner continues to be a leader on defense. Noxubee County has outscored their opponents 265-7.

Jonathan Banks and East Webster remain unbeaten after a 42-6 over Faulkner. The Wolverines are allowing just over five points per game.

Montrell Conner and Ouachita stay on track this week and slip by Ruston 10-3. The Lions are 4-2 on the season. The defense led the way after the standout running back was sidelined early in the second half with bruised ribs.

Sam Watts and Salem High School saw their winning streak snap at three this week. Clark Central got by the Seminoles 22-21.

Antony Rogers and North Little Rock lost a little air out of their bubble this week. The Wildcats fell to Cabot 34-21.

Cameron Lawrence and Magnolia Heights enjoyed a bye week this week.

Nickoe Whitley's season ended earlier this season after a suffering a knee injury against Callaway.

Chris White and MGCCC (4-2) won a barn burner over East Central 38-35.

Pernell McPhee and ICC (2-4) fell to Hinds 13-10. McPhee had 10 tackles and two sacks in the losing effort.
