The MSU commitment scoreboard update is a free feature available to all Gene's Page readers that allows you to see how the Bulldogs-to-be did in their latest action on the gridiron.

Cameron Lawrence and Magnolia Heights have won three in a row after dropping the season opener. This past Friday night Cameron threw a TD as Magnolia Heights got by Jackson Academy 27-6.

Jonathan Banks threw a 36 yard scoring strike to help lead East Webster (3-0) over Smithville 27-7.

Josh Boyd and Philadelphia shutout current head coach Teddy Dyess' old team, Lumberton, 28-0. Philadelphia has won two straight to improve their record to 2-1.

William Shumpert and IAHS (3-0) remained unbeated as they got by a strong effort from Houston High School 22-19.

Gabriel Jackson and Amite County evened their record at 1-1 with a 16-7 over former MSU quarterback Sleepy Robinson's new squad, Prentiss.

Montez Phillips and Lafayette County got on the winning side of things for the first time this year with a 47-6 shelling of North Panola. Montez threw a 66 yard touchdown pass and ran for another.

Deontae Skinner and Noxubee showed no rust after a week off. Noxubee County blasted Greenville-Weston 41-0.

Fletcher Cox and Yazoo City fell to 2-1 after a 35-12 loss to Velma Jackson.

Tyler Russell was 16 of 32 for 222 yards including a touchdown and an interception in a 41-13 loss to Wayne County.

Tyler connected with wide receiver Chris Smith seven times for a total of 85 yards. Meridian falls to 2-1.

Chris White and MGCCC have now extended their winning streak to 15 games in a row. Perk won 40-14 in a cakewalk over Southwest Community College. The Bulldogs are 3-0 on the 2008 season.

Pernell McPhee and Itawamba tasted victory for the first time this past Thursday night when they got by Northeast CC 12-9. ICC is now 1-2.

Nickoe Whitley was scheduled for season ending knee surgery this past week. His Provine Ram teammates honored him in a 20-0 win over Lanier. The Rams are 2-1 on the year.

Sam Watts and Salem got on track this week with a hard fought 10-7 win over Loganville. The Seminoles are now 1-2.

Josh Hollingsworth and Hamiton (3-0) have taken an early 2-0 lead in the district race after a 48-8 pasting of Hanceville. Hollingsworth ran for two scores and threw for another this past weekend.

Montrell Conner ran for three scores en route to a 175 yard night, but it was not enough as Neville dropped the Lions 36-25. OHS is now 1-1 on the year.

Anthony Rogers and North Little Rock avoided the let down this week as they did just enough to get by El Dorado 8-3. The Wildcats are 2-0 thanks in large part to a very strong defense.
