“She just didn’t have a good day,” said MSU head coach Al Schmidt. “It was a long season for her and everyone else. I think they all just got a
little tired. She learned a lot here and can take it into next season.”
In the long jump, Harris leaped 19 feet, six and three-quarter inches, threw 95-02 in the javelin and ran 2 minutes, 33.33 seconds in the
800-meter run.
MSU concludes the 2008 outdoor track and field season with two all-Americans in Golden Coachman (men’s 800-meter run) and Kendall May
(men’s 100-meter dash).
