Men's Golf
STARKVILLE, Miss. - The Mississippi State men's golf team has been selected for NCAA postseason play for the first time since 2000. The Bulldogs have been selected a 13-seed in the East Regional, where MState will compete at the par 72 Council Fire Golf Club in Chattanooga, Tenn., on May 15-17.

Following their best showing at the SEC Championship since 2000, with a fifth place finish at the three round event, the Bulldogs have been selected to NCAA postseason for the first time in the Clay Homan era and the first time since the year 2000.

"We're excited about the challenge that we have set before us," said Clay Homan. "It all comes back to the experience these young men have gained over the last couple years. Maturity is shown through them every day."

MSU will send a duplicate lineup from the SEC Championship which includes lone senior Josh Oller, and a quartet of juniors with team-stroke average leader Noah Goldman, Carlos Sainz, Jr., Matt Fast and Josh Bevell.

MSU is selected along with nine other SEC schools, four of which are selected into the East Regional. Georgia is the lead team in the East Regional followed by Charlotte, South Carolina, Duke, Chattanooga, Auburn, East Tennessee State, Michigan State, Mississippi, UAB, Virginia Tech, North Carolina State. MState stands at 13th followed by Georgia State, North Florida, UC Irvine, Augusta State, SMU, Middle Tennessee State, Coastal Carolina, Memphis, Virginia, Western Carolina, Colorado State, New Mexico State, Western Illinois and Jackson State.
