Holmes Community College (Goodman, MS) has 11 players who are receiving D-I looks.

  • Zach Williams (So., SS, 6-1.5, 201, 4.54) - Prepped at East Webster High School in Maben, Mississippi. Started at quarterback his freshman season at Holmes Community College. Has since been moved to strong safety at his request. Has the size, speed and aggressiveness to be a great strong safety. Currently favors Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Southern Miss and Kansas State. No offers at this time. Zach's not sure at this time if he will graduate in December, 2007 or May, 2008.

  • Stevie Harden (So., CB, 5-9, 183, 4.5) - Played his high school ball at Lowndes High School in Valdosta, GA. After starting his freshman season, Stevie was chosen to the MACJC second team All-State South team. A player to watch this season. Currently lists Florida State, Florida, Mississippi State, Ole Miss and Clemson as his early favorites. No offers at this time. Unsure if he will graduate in December, 2007 or May, 2008.

  • Karlin Givens (So., RT, 6-4, 295, 5.27) - Played his prep ball at Ridgeland High School in Ridgeland, Mississippi. A full-time starter at right tackle his freshman season at Holmes. A strong player who recently maxed out at 355 on the bench and 450 on the squat. Should receive serious looks from D-IA schools this coming season. Currently favors Texas A&M, Kansas State, Louisville, Louisiana Tech, Memphis, Tennessee and Ole Miss. No offers at time.

  • Roderick Lacy (So., WR, 6-2, 203, 4.43) - Played his high school ball at J.J. McClain High School in Lexington, Mississippi. Came to Holmes as a quarterback, but has been moved to wide receiver to better utilize his immense talent. With his combination of size, speed, quickness and hands, could be one of the big surprises in the Mississippi junior college ranks this season. Likes Georgia, Kansas State, Tennessee, Auburn, Southern Miss and Jackson State. Currently no offers. Wants to graduate in December, 2007, but may wind up graduating in May, 2008.

  • Tarbbaris Hicks (So., FS, 6-1, 200, 4.42) - Prepped at Yazoo County High School in Yazoo City, Mississippi. His size and speed combination is what college coaches look for in a free safety. He was a full-time starter as a freshman. Has seven schools on his early list - LSU, Grambling State, Florida, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Louisiana Tech and Miami. Has no offers at this time. Is trying to graduate in December, 2007.

  • Larry Hart (So., DE, 6-0, 270, 4.68) - Played his high school football at Madison Central High School in Madison, Mississippi. A full-time starter at defensive end as a freshman. Has a great combination of speed (4.68 forty) and strength (355 BP, 570 SQ). Has six schools on his list of favorites - Kansas State, Ole Miss, Clemson, Alabama, LSU and Florida State. Currently claims on offers. Expects to graduate in December, 2007.

  • Antyon Gray (So., WR, 6-1.5, 180, 4.41) - A teammate of Larry Hart at Madison Central High School. After playing defensive back last season, Antyon has been moved to wide receiver to better utilize his size, speed and quickness. Currently lists Jackson State, Alcorn State, Louisiana-Lafayette, Louisiana Tech, Southern Miss and Memphis as his favorite schools. Currently has no offers. Expects to graduate in May, 2008.

  • Tim Issac (So., OLB, 6-0, 188, 4.6) - Played his high school football at Pike County High School in Brundidge, Alabama. Tim was a full-time starter his freshman season at Holmes. Most of his favorite schools are from the state of Alabama - Alabama State, North Alabama, Alabama and Auburn. Also has Jackson State on his list. Claims no offers at this time. Hopes to graduate in December, 2007.

  • Johnvonta Brooks (So., C, 6-1, 285, 5.3) - Prepped at Winona High School in Winona, Mississippi. A smart player who has great strength (395 BP, 465 SQ). Was a full-time starter his freshman season. Currently lists the in-state schools and one out of state school - Southern Miss, Mississippi State, Ole Miss and Memphis - as his favorite schools. Has no offers at this point in his recruitment. Working hard to be a December, 2007 graduate.

  • Eduardo Carmona (RFr., K/P, 5-11, 205) - Played his high school football at Charleston High School in Charleston, Arkansas. After signing with Holmes a few weeks prior to the season, redshirted last year. His coaches feel like he's got an extremely strong and accurate leg that will take him far. Currently favors Tulsa, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Arkansas, LSU and Notre Dame. Claims no offers. A real possibility that he could come out in December, 2007. If so, he will have 3 to play 3 on the next level.

  • Jacob Black (So., LT, 6-4, 275, 5.34) - Played his prep football at Ethel High School in Ethel, Mississippi. A full-time starter as a freshman at Holmes. Has the size college coaches are looking for in an offensive tackles. Jacob has several teams at the top of his recruiting list, including Tennessee, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Florida and LSU. Claims no offers. Will be able to sign with a four-year school in December, 2007.
