East Mississippi Community College (Scooba, MS) has several players receiving looks from four-year colleges.

  • LaGarrette Blount (So., RB, 6-1.5, 230, 4.5) - Played his high school ball at Taylor County High School in Perry, Florida. As a freshman at EMCC, LaGarrette earned NJCAA Region XXIII All Region and first-team MACJC All-State. Has the size, strength and speed that college coaches want in a running back. Has interest in Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Southern Miss, Florida, Miami, Auburn and Alabama. Has no offers at this time. Should be a December, 2007 graduate.

  • Derrick Boyd (So., FS, 6-0, 200, 4.5) - Prepped at West Point (MS) High School. After an exceptional freshman season, Derrick was named to the MACJC All-State Football North Second Team. Very good size and speed for a free safety. Favors Ole Miss, Alabama, South Carolina, Tennessee, Kansas State and Southern Miss. Has no offers at this time. Should be a December, 2007 graduate.

  • Demetrius Culpepper (So., DE, 6-5, 245) - Played his high school football at Benjamin Russell High School in Alexander City, AL. A full-time starter as a freshman. A highly recruited prep player who signed with Louisville out of high school. Due to the coaching change at Louisville, he has re-opened his recruitment. Currently favors Auburn, Louisville, Alabama, Texas A&M and Memphis. Has no offers at this time. Anticipates being a December, 2007 graduate.

  • Tim McGee (So., DT, 6-4, 280) - Prepped at Ridgeview High School in Columbia, South Carolina. Highly recruited out of high school. Has the size and speed to be an impact player on the next level. Tim currently lists Rutgers, Hawaii, Hampton, South Carolina and Georgia as his favorite schools. He has no offers at this time. Tim expects to graduate in December, 2007.

  • Kenneth Stallings (So., OT/OG, 6-3.5, 330) - Played his high school ball at Noxubee County High School in Macon, MS. Kenneth definitely has the size, strength and speed that four year schools are looking for in an offensive lineman. Favors LSU, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Jackson State, Oregon State and Florida. Has no offers at this time. Expects to graduate in December, 2007.

  • James Patterson (So., QB, 6-2, 230, 4.6) - Played his prep ball at Noxubee County High School in Macon, Mississippi. Good size and speed for a quarterback. Signed with Jackson State out of high school, but is interested in other schools now. Schools he is interested in include Florida State, Miami and Auburn. Has no offers at this time. Anticipates being a May, 2008 graduate.

  • Chris Rogers (So., C, 6-0, 312) - Played his high school ball at West Oktibbeha High School in Maben, Mississippi. A tremendously strong youngster (lifted 275 pounds 17 times recently) who man-handled many of his opponent as a freshman. A full-time starter as a freshman. Currently lists Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Alabama, Bethune-Cookman and Hampton as his favorites. Has no offers at this time. Expects to graduate in December, 2007.

  • James McLamore (So., NG, 6-0, 300) - James played his high school ball at Irmo High School in Columbia, South Carolina. James is very strong and has the quickness that you look for in a noseguard. A full-time starter as a freshman. Currently lists South Carolina, Georgia and North Carolina as his favorite schools. Has no offers at this point. James expects to graduate in December, 2007.

  • Johnathan Dancer (So., CB, 5-9, 177, 4.56) - Played his prep football at Starkville (MS) High School. He was a full-time starter his freshman season at EMCC. Good speed and quickness. The colleges he is most interested in at this point are Southern Miss, Ole Miss, Alabama, Mississippi State and Memphis. As of now, Johnathan has no offers. He anticipates graduating in December, 2007.

  • Evan Webber (So., OT, 6-3, 272) - Evan played his high school ball at Columbus (MS) High School. After starting out as a backup, Evan moved into a starting role the latter part of his freshman season at EMCC. Solid size and speed for an offensive lineman. He currently has Southern Miss, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, LSU and Alabama at the top of his favorites list. He claims no offers at this time. Evan expects to graduate in December, 2007.

  • Billie Watson (So., DT, 6-1, 275) - He played his prep ball at Kemper County High School in Dekalb, Mississippi. Billie is a very athletic, solidly built defensive lineman who could have a significant impact this coming season. He currently lists Florida A&M, Southern Miss, LSU and Florida as his favorite schools. He claims no offers at this time. Billie expects to graduate in December, 2007.

  • Trey Tate (So., WR, 6-3, 200, 4.6) - Trey played his high school ball at Columbus (MS) High School. When first eye-balling him, you see a big, physical looking wide receiver type. As a freshman at EMCC, Trey was a part-time starter. He currently lists Mississippi State, Southern Miss, Alabama, Ole Miss and Tennessee as schools that he is interested in. He claims no offers at this time. He expects to graduate in December, 2007.

  • Jare Gault (So., QB, 6-3, 225, 4.7) - Played his high school ball at Jonesville (SC) High School. Has the height, weight and speed that college coaches are looking for in their quarterbacks. He should contend with James Patterson for the starting QB job this coming season. He currently favors Alabama, South Carolina, Georgia, Southern Miss, Mississippi State, Ole Miss and North Carolina State. He has no offers at this time. Jare expects to graduate in December, 2007.

  • Jermarcus Thedford (So., LB, 6-2, 225, 4.8) - Played his high school ball at Meridian (MS) High School. Jermarcus has the height and weight you are looking for in a linebacker. He is interested in several colleges, including the big-three in the state of Mississippi - Southern Miss, Ole Miss, Mississippi State - as well as LSU and Alabama. He claims no offers at this time. He expects to graduate in December, 2007.

  • Kymario Cannon (So., CB, 5-9, 180, 4.5) - Kymario played his high school ball at West Point (MS) High School. Started two games as a freshman at East Mississippi Community College. He has the kind of speed and quickness you look for from a cornerback. He lists Southern Miss, Florida, Miami and Alabama as his favorite schools. He currently claims no offers. He hopes to graduate in December, 2007.

  • Dameon Baylor (So., RB, 5-9, 200, 4.6) - Dameon played his high school ball at West Lauderdale High School, which is near Meridian, Mississippi. He is one of the most athletic looking athletes on a very athletic looking EMCC football team. Dameon currently lists Alabama, Memphis, Southern Miss, Oklahoma State and Utah as his favorite schools. He currently claims no offers. He anticipates graduating in December, 2007.
