Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College (Perkinston, MS) has 6 players who are receiving D-I looks. Players placed and expected to re-sign with the colleges they signed with out of high school are not listed.

  • Alec Banks (So., DB/KR, 5-8, 170, 4.44) - Played for Gulfport (MS) High School. A hard hitter who has the speed and quickness coaches are looking for at cornerback. Also a very good kick and punt returner for MGCCC last season. Interested in Southern Miss, South Carolina, Iowa, Tulsa, Alabama, Michigan and Auburn. Has no offers at this time.

  • Trey Hopson (So., FB, 5-9, 233, 4.58) - Played his high school ball at Pascagoula (MS) High School. A tough inside runner with solid speed. Transferred to MGCCC after redshirting his true freshman season at Rice. Started over half of last year's games for MGCCC. Favors Houston, Southern Miss, Oregon State, Wisconsin, Rice and Auburn. Has no offers at this time.

  • Keating Helms (So., C, 6-2.25, 308) - Played his high school ball at Gulfport (MS) High School. As a freshman at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, Keating started all the games. Has interest in Southern Miss, Mississippi State, Tennessee, Oregon State, Utah, LSU and Alabama. Has no offers at this time.

  • Tramaine Brock (So., FS, 5-11, 187, 4.37) - Played his high school ball at Long Beach High School in Long Beach, Mississippi. A fulltime starter as a freshman at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. Favors Southern Miss, Iowa, Iowa State, Oregon State, Auburn, Florida State and Florida. Has no offers at this time.

  • Terrence Cody (So., NG/DT, 6-5, 385, 5.6) - Helds from Riverdale High School in Fort Myers, Florida. Received offers from Miami and USF out of high school. Has very good quickness for a man his size. Will be one of the most heavily recruited players in the Mississippi junior college ranks this coming season. Currently favors Florida State, Auburn, Ole Miss, Oregon State, Utah and Troy. Although he doesn't have any offers, MGCCC head coach Steve Campbell said that Florida State is very, very interested and may be close to offering.

  • Willie Pritchett (So., DE, 6-6, 311, 5.0) - Played his high school ball at Moss Point (MS) High School. Great size and speed for a man his size. Exactly what college coaches are looking for at the defensive end or defensive tackle positions. (Willie wasn't unavailable when I was at MGCCC.-Gene)
