Mississippi State trailed 8-3 going into the bottom of the 6th inning, but five runs in the bottom of the inning and a no-out, bases loaded single by Joseph McCaskill in the bottom of the 9th sealed a dramatic come from behind home, 9-8, victory over the Memphis Tigers.

Brandon Turner highlighted the 6th inning with a grand slam home run over the left center field wall to tie the game.
