Sherrod's Looking Foward to a Winning Season

STARKVILLE -­ Dezmond Sherrod admits without hesitation that he had a good spring practice. But one thing it wasn't was a busy spring. The Mississippi State junior football player was just at one position this spring – tight end – unlike last spring when the Caledonia native lined up anywhere from tight end, fullback to wingback.

And Sherrod was just fine with learning the ins and outs of one position this spring. "I just worked primarily at tight end," said Dezmond Sherrod. "That's where they feel they need me the most. They kept me there this spring so I could learn all the little things associated with being a tight end in this league. Plus, we've got a good fullback in Bryson Davis and his backup Casey Rogers.
