Jazzmen Guy Profile Page:
"I committed to Mississippi State tonight," said Jazzmen, who chose the Bulldogs over scholarship offers from Southern Miss, Florida State, Nebraska and Ole Miss.
He explained why the Bulldogs won out.
"I committed to them because of their academics and their football team," noted Jazzmen. "(MSU head) Coach (Sylvester) Croom seems like a nice guy that I can get along with. (Assistant) Coach (Shane) Beamer is a nice guy, too. And all the other coaches are, too."
What was Coach Croom's reaction when Jazzmen told him that he wants to be a Bulldog?
"He was happy about it. He said it is great to have me as a Bulldog," explained Jazzmen, a MAC class 3A 1st Team All-State selection this past season.
Jazzmen is the second Hazlehurst High School product to commit to the Bulldogs the past few days. QB/DB Damein Anderson was the first. Did that factor into his decision.
"Damein is my cousin, but that didn't have anything to do with my decision," said Jazzmen. "We both just like Mississippi State."
As a junior, Jazzmen registered 73 tackles and 7 sacks.
