NE Mississippi CC Class of 2007 Prospects

NE Mississippi CC Class of 2007 Prospects

Northeast Mississippi Community College has at least eight players who have a chance to be D-I prospects next season. Players placed and expected to re-sign with the colleges they signed with out of high school are not listed.

  • Brandon Bates (DL, 6-6, 280) - Brandon (pictured) is a big, strong defensive lineman who should receive a lot of looks from D-I coaches this coming fall. A two-year starter and a two-time All-State selection for Deshler High School in Alabama, Brandon told me that he likes Auburn, Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama and Troy. He expects to graduate in December.

  • Chris Nance (CB, 5-10, 188) - Called a big-time prospect by the coaches at Northeast MS CC, Chris started as a freshman. In high school he was an All-State selection his senior year at Deshler High School. He said his top five are Alabama, Tennessee, Troy, Auburn and Ole Miss. He hopes to graduate in December.

  • Cameron Montgomery (RB, 6-1, 215) - Cameron, who played for The Woodlands (TX) High School, started for Northeast MS CC as a freshman. He expects to graduate in December. He told me his top five schools are Baylor, Texas A&M, Louisiana Tech, Oklahoma State and Ole Miss.

  • Chris Jernigan (OG, 6-2, 265) - Overlooked in high school, while playing for West Point (MS) High School, Chris is a guy that could get picked up by a D-I school if he has a great sophomore year. His favorite schools are Southern Miss, Troy, UAB, Mississippi State and Ole Miss. He anticipates graduating in December.

  • Brandon Moore (MLB, 6-0, 225) - As a senior, Brandon, a four-year starter, was chosen the linebacker of the year in his classification while playing for Deshler High School. His top five schools are Alabama, Auburn, Troy, UAB and Western Kentucky. He signed with Western Kentucky out of high school. He expects to graduate in December.

  • Brandon Ciaramitaro (OT, 6-3, 285) - A MPSA 1st Team All-State selection from North Delta School in Batesville, Mississippi. Brandon told me he likes Memphis, UAB, Southern Miss, Troy and Mississippi State. He signed with Delta State out of high school. He anticipates graduating in December.

  • Clarence Wright (CB, 5-11, 190) - Brandon, a three-year starter for Olive Branch (MS) High School, was selected 1st Team All-Region his senior season. His top 4 schools are Memphis, Mississippi State, Ole Miss and Southern Miss. He expects to graduate in May.

  • Phil Lowery (OT, 6-4, 315) - Phil, a three-year starter for Hatton (AL) High School, was selected 1st Team All-Area all three years. He said his favorites are Alabama, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Troy and UAB. He should graduate in December.
