MState finished the tournament tied with Big 12 foe Colorado for sixth place. The squad posted a 311 on the final day. The Bulldogs finished the fall season with four consecutive top-10 finishes.
Carlos Sainz, Jr. led the Maroon and White on Tuesday with a two-over par 74. The Elgin, Ill product moved into the 11th spot in the field. He closes out fall competition with six top-20 finishes under his belt. Junior Jake Lambert and freshman Matt Fast both finished 22nd. Junior Josh Oller closed out the MSU scorecard with a 77.
The Mustangs of SMU held off Belmont to win the tournament championship. BU finished up with a three-over par 291 to finish two strokes back of the top spot. UAB, Kent State and UNC-Greensboro rounded out the top-five teams.
Colorado’s Edward McGlasson took home individual honors, finishing four-over par for the two-day event.
Tuesday’s final round concluded the fall season for the Bulldogs. They will open the 2006 portion of the schedule in Orlando, Fla., taking part in the University of Central Florida/Rio Pinar Country Club Intercollegiate on Feb. 13-14.
