Cade Hoggard - 6-2.5, 210, OF/1B, Oxford High School (Oxford, MS.). First-team All-District and All-Area. Chosen Player of the Year by the Oxford Eagle newspaper. Chose MSU over Ole Miss and Delta State after unofficially visiting all three. All three offered scholarships. Academics: 3.3 GPA, 20 ACT.
Matt Lea - 6-5, 215, RHP/INF, Houston High School (Germantown, TN.). Considered one of the top 50 players in the nation by ProspectsPlus. Offered scholarships by numerous colleges. Chose MSU over Ole Miss. Academics: 3.9 GPA, 27 ACT.
Russ Sneed - 6-3, 190, SS/3B/RHP, Magnolia Heights School (Senatobia, MS.). Chosen All-MPSA, All-Conference. A very good athlete who is the starting QB for his school's football team. After unofficially visiting MSU and Ole Miss, chose MSU. Both offered scholarships. Academics: 3.85 GPA, 22 ACT.
Brandon Turner - 6-1, 170, INF/OF, Walker Valley High School (Cleveland, TN.). Made the All-District, All-Region and All-Area teams. Also was selected to the TBCA (Tenn. Baseball Coaches Association) Showcase team, 1 of just 20 players who made the east team. Chose MSU over Tennessee, Tennessee Tech and Troy State after officially visiting all four. Had offers from those schools as well as a few others. Academics: 3.0 GPA, 18 ACT.
Aaron Weatherford - 6-0, 171, RHP/INF, Fairhope High School (Fairhope, AL.). One of the top pitchers in the nation. ProspectsPlus lists this hard-throwing pitcher (88-91 mph fastball) among the top 150 players in the nation. Aaron chose MSU over LSU and Alabama. All three offered along with a host of other colleges. Academics: 3.75 GPA, 20 ACT.
