Hoggard, a 6-2.5, 210-pound outfielder/first baseman who plays baseball for Oxford (MS) High School, has committed to Mississippi State. He also had scholarship offers from Ole Miss and Delta State.
His junior season he batted .380 with 6 home runs and 50+ RBI. His honors include being selected the Oxford Eagle Player of the Year, first-team All-Area and All-District. He also was selected to the first-team Tupelo Daily Journal All-Area baseball team.
