MSU pitching signee Ragan Blake of Elkins HS, threw a no-hitter and struck out three in the regional semifinals against Brazoswood HS (No. 1 in the country 3 years ago), then struck out 12 against 5th ranked La Porte last week. She had a no-hitter against La Porte going into the 6th inning.
With the win over La Porte, Elkins HS advanced to the semifinals of the state tournament. They next play June 4th against a yet to be determined opponent.
Currently 27-0 with an 0.04 ERA, Ragan has given up 2 runs (one earned) on 46 hits and 7 walks in 162.2 innings of work. Season highlights include 3 perfect games, 1 no-hitter and 6 one-hitters. She also has 7 double-digit strikeout games this season, including a pair of one-hit games in which she struck out 14.
