Was there any one thing that sold you on Mississippi State?
"The people, I like the people up there."

When do you expect to report to Mississippi State, the summer or the fall?
    "The second semester summer."

Are you participating in any other sports other than football?
    "No sir."

What do you think will be the biggest adjustment between high school and SEC ball?
"Time adjustment, managing my time right. Balancing my free time with my school work and football."

Was there any one humorous or unusual thing that happened during your recruitment?
"The first day that (MSU) Coach (Amos) Jones got hired, I was with my soccer coach just chilling. Then, out of nowhere, Coach Jones walks up. No one knew he was, he was like hovering around the place for a little while. Everybody was wondering who he was and how he got out there because it takes a little while to get to the soccer field from Meridian. I thought that was pretty funny."

    What are your hobbies?
"I like hanging out with my friends at their houses."

Who has been the most influential person in your life? If more than one, you can mention them all.
    "Probably my mom."

What schools did you official visit and who were some you turned down that wanted you to visit?
"Mississippi State. I was going to go to Marshall but they signed another kicker and I wouldn't go if I wasn't going to get anything out of it."

Has the internet been a source of information for you during your recruitment?
"Yes sir, my mom and I go on the internet everyday to see who everybody has gotten and who everybody is looking at, just see the ratings and things like that. We actually check your page (Gene's Page)."
