Talk about your visit to Mississippi State.
"Starkville is a great place. It looks like it has a lot of football atmosphere just by being in the town. I got to see the stadium at night and saw the locker room with everything hanging up. Damien Huren here and Damien Huren there. I thought this is the place for me. It felt like home."
When did you commit to Mississippi State?
Was playing in the SEC a big factor in you choosing Mississippi State?
"Yes sir. There has always been something about the SEC. They have great talent and a lot of publicity. I wouldn't mind getting a shot to play in it. Now I have my chance."
What were your impressions of Coach Croom during your one on one conference with him?
"I had heard a lot of great things about him. But when I sat down and really got to talk to him, I couldn't help but believe everything everyone said about him. Coach Croom seems like a great guy, a guy with class with a lot of character. I am going to be really happy playing for him these next two years."
What did the MSU coaches say they liked about you?
"My athleticism. I talked to Coach Croom and he saw me return some interceptions and said he wouldn't mind using me offensively in some of his schemes. He said I seem very versatile. He asked me if I played any running back in high school. I told him no sir. But I played on both sides of the ball at Southwest this year. My first game playing offense I had 2 catches for 76 yards and 2 touchdowns against Co-Lin."
What position did you play?
What do you run the forty in?
What's your vertical leap?
"At the (junior college) all star game it was either 35 or 36. I can jump a little bit (laugh). I played basketball in high school."
Do you have two or three years to play two?
"I have three to play two."
What other schools were you considering?
"UAB, East Carolina and North Carolina."
Which ones did you visit?
"All but North Carolina."
