One more visit for Pierce

Ravian Pierce

Plantation (Fla.) tight end Ravian Pierce will make a visit to Mississippi State before announcing his decision on signing day.

Four-star tight end prospect Ravian Pierce (Plantation, Fla.) will make one final visit this weekend when he trips to Starkville to visit Mississippi State.

"That will be his final trip and he will decide between Mississippi State and Florida Atlantic," said Steve Davis, Plantation's coach.

Pierce,6-foot-4, 210-pounds, was previously committed to Arkansas. A big reason why he picked the Hogs was his relationship with then Razorback assistant Charlie Partridge. He's now the head coach at Florida Atlantic.

"It was a mutual thing and they [Arkansas] just parted ways," Davis said. "Once Charlie left it opened things back up."

Davis said that Pierce and teammate [cornerback] Chris Lammons are both scheduled to make their decision on signing day from the school at 1 p.m.

Pierce is the state's top tight end prospect and the No. 8 ranked tight end in the nation.
