MSU Baseball's Most Improved Hitter

Expectations are high for MSU baseball this season. They are currently ranked as high as 5th in one poll. Pitching and defense will be the strengths of this year's team, but the hitting should show marked improvement. Adam Frazier will lead the charge for the hitters, but other players will have to come through as well. And I expect one hitter to really step forward this coming season - Wes Rea.

Rea, who redshirted his first season at MSU, had a decent season as a redshirt freshman last season, hitting .249 with 16 doubles, 5 home runs and 41 RBI. He also walked 25 while striking out 68. Not a bad year for a guy playing his first year of college baseball. But Rea was dealing with a shoulder problem all season long that appeared to get worse as the year progressed.
