Stanford, Kansas State, Vanderbilt, Ole Miss, Tulane, Cincinnati and Tennessee have all extended offers to Terrence Alexander.
"I've been talking to Stanford and they're real interested," Alexander said. "Coach (Lance) Anderson says Coach (David) Shaw and the defensive backs coach want to talk with me.
"Mississippi State is recruiting me hard. Their recruiting coordinator said the new DBs coach saw my film and should offer soon."
Northwestern, Georgia Tech, Louisiana Tech and Northern Illinois all may be on the cusp of offering Alexander, who collected 35 tackles, broke up 16 passes and intercepted another during his junior season.
"Coach Randy Bates from Northwestern said their DBs coach loves my film and will be coming down to our school to talk with Coach J.T. (Curtis)," he said. "It's the same with Georgia Tech. They want me to call, said they love the film, and plan on getting me to Atlanta for a visit.
"Coach Juluke at Louisiana Tech is talking to me. Roy Manning, who was recruiting me for Cincinnati, is now at Northern Illinois, so they may be offering, and Coach (Michael) Smith from Kansas State is now at Arkansas."
The Razorbacks and Florida Gators are two additional programs to watch. John Curtis product Luke Charpentier is on the Arkansas roster, and Florida has offered 2015 Curtis safety Hunter Dale.
Curtis went 14-0 last year and captured the national championship, in addition to winning the school's 25th state title.
Last summer, Alexander clocked a sub-4.5 40-yard dash and a 4.0 shuttle at LSU's July camp.
The 5-foot-10, 180-pounder is competing in an indoor track meet this afternoon at LSU.
Curtis is the defending state champion in both indoor and outdoor track and field.
