Mississippi All-Star: Jamal Posey

Jamal Posey helped lead Hattiesburg High School to the second round of the 6A playoffs this fall. Needless to say, Posey and his fellow seniors are leaving the HHS program in better shape than they found it. This week, Posey is looking to join forces with some of the other top players in the state in an effort to pick up a much needed All-Star win over Alabama.

"I feel great about our season," said Posey. "We had one of the best seasons in a long time.

"Next year, they will have to go and build off of that.

"My senior class worked hard. We were one unit. We felt like a family and we felt like nobody could stop us if we executed."

Posey and teammate Tony Bridges were both selected to play in the Mississippi/Alabama All-Star game.

The experience has been rewarding so far according the to the talented defensive lineman.

"It's been great," said Posey. "I am used to being one of the biggest ones, but now I am one of the smallest ones.

"We have a lot of talent out here and I like everybody."

Posey will look to sign with a junior college come signing day.

"I visited Jones the other day and I am going to visit East Mississippi, Hinds and Alcorn," said Posey. "I think JuCo might be best for me, so I can get a little bigger, faster and stronger."
