West Point High School, over the course of the last few years, has been one of the top teams in the state of Mississippi. Gallion expects the same this season. And he plans on doing his part to make sure it happens.
"We are determined to go back to (the) State (championship game)," said the talented youngster, who has helped lead his team to a 1-1 record during the early going of the 2012 season. "And I have to do whatever it takes for my team so we can go back to state."
He worked extremely hard during the summer to make sure he was at his best this season.
"This summer I made every workout every day," he said.
While he's keying on his team's success at the moment, a player as talented as he is will receive recruiting attention. According to his coaches several teams have started showing interest, including Alabama, Mississippi State, Ole Miss and Southern Miss. He's visited several of those schools during the summer and spring.
"I have been to Ole Miss this summer," said Gallion."Last year, I went to Alabama. And I went to Mississippi State's Junior Day (this past spring)."
Although recruiting has started to heat up for him, his team is what he is focusing on.
"I'm really not thinking about recruiting right now," said Gallion. "I'm probably just going to wait until next year to really think about it."
