Although he is one of the top players in the Mississippi class of 2014, Davis is a humble person when talking about himself.
"I hope people see a skilled player when they watch me play but at the same time I can't do it without my teammates," he said. "My teammates help motivate me and make me play harder."
He also tries to help motivate his teammates by being one of the leaders on the team.
"They also look up to me because I am a junior and have been here since I was a freshman," said Davis. "I try (to be a leader by keeping) my teammates focused on the game and ready when they come to the field. I take pride in being a leader on the team."
He's expecting big things from his team this year.
"We are a state championship (caliber) team," said Davis, who helped lead his team to a 12-3 record and an appearance in the 6A state championship game in 2011. "We are going back to the state championship."
Recruiting-wise, things are starting to heat up for the talented junior.
"Teams that are showing interest in me are Alabama, Mississippi State, Nebraska, Ole Miss and Southern Miss," said Davis.
