Long-time Mississippi State men's head basketball coach Rick Stansbury will announce his retirement at a 1 pm press conference today at the Bryan Builing. Fans are invited to attend.

Stansbury has been the head coach at Mississippi State for 14 years and an assistant coach at MSU the previous 8 years.

During his time as a head coach, he has guided Mississippi State to a 293-166 overall regular season record and a 122-102 SEC record. His teams have participated in 6 NCAA post-season tournaments and 5 NIT post-season tournaments. His teams have also won 1 regular season SEC title, 6 SEC West titles, and 2 SEC Tournament titles. He is the winningest coach in MSU men's basketball history.

Stansbury will continue to work in the MSU athletic department.
